Letter to Residents Families & Advocates - Southern Tasmania 3 Day Lockdown
15 October, 2021

Dear valued Residents, Families and Advocates,

RE: Three-day lockdown for Hobart and surrounding areas

I want to thank you once again for your patience and understanding as we continue to work together to protect our community from COVID-19.

This afternoon the Tasmanian Government announced a three-day lockdown for Hobart and surrounding areas, effective from 6pm Friday 15 October 2021.
In response to this, the following restrictions will be in place from 6:00 pm Friday 15 October 2021 until 6:00pm Monday 18 October for our Freemasons Home, Lindisfarne.

Facemasks

Anyone who enters a residential aged care facility – including staff – must wear a facemask at all times when on the premises of the residential aged care facility.

This does not apply to residents in the aged care facility.

Visitor arrangements

There will be no visits permitted to aged care facilities in Southern Tasmania for the three day period. Please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone if you need to arrange a phone call with your loved ones.

Protecting our Residents and our workforce

If any of our workforce suspect that they have been in in an area designated by the Tasmanian Government as an exposure site or are a close or casual contact, they will be directed to isolate and test. Staff will be eligible for special Covid leave and must be able to provide evidence that they were in the designated area. This could be in the form of a Check in TAS screenshot of your Check in History.

Please be assured that we are here to support you and your loved ones. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the team at Freemasons directly.

Yours sincerely,
Jackie Howard
