Covid-19 Outbreak Management Update (Freemasons)
2 April, 2022

Dear Valued Residents, Families and Advocates

I wish to advise that an additional three Resdients at Freemasons Home in Lindisfarne have tested positive to COVID-19, which now places Freemasons Home in Oubtreak.

The Residents and their families have been informed and are receiving support from Masonic Care Tasmania.

If you haven’t been contacted by our team, rest assured that the impacted Residents are not your loved one.

We have implemented our Outbreak Management Plans and are working closely with the Tasmania Department of Health.

As a precautionary measure, we have been advised by Public Health to isolate the Freemasons Home until a full sweep of Resident testing is completed. During this time Residents will be asked to stay in their rooms.

Each Resident’s nominated visitor is welcome to visit the home, however all visits will be in the Residents rooms and visitors will be required to complete a RAT test on arrival and wear a N95 mask, eye protection and gloves during their visit.

The health and wellbeing of our Residents and Staff is our priority, and we appreciate your assistance with this.

We know that this is a worrying time and we will do what we can to continue to keep our residents, families and staff informed of any updates.

Yours sincerely

Katie Cooley
