Covid-19 Outbreak Management Update (Freemasons)
3 April, 2022

Dear Valued Residents, Families and Advocates

Further to yesterday’s update, we have had an additional two Residents at Freemasons Home test positive to COVID-19. This means we unfortunately now have six Residents with Covid-19.

The Residents and their families have been informed and are receiving support from Masonic Care Tasmania. If our team has not contacted you, rest assured that the impacted Residents are not your loved one.

As a precautionary measure, we have been advised by Public Health today to continue to isolate the Home until a full sweep of testing is completed on Monday 4 April 2022 and the results are recieved. During this time, Residents will be asked to stay in their rooms.

Each Resident’s nominated visitor is welcome to visit the home, however all visits will be in the Residents rooms and visitors will be required to complete a RAT test on arrival, and wear a N95 mask and eye protection during their visit.

If you are a nominated visitor and you feel unwell in anyway, please do not attend the Home.

The health and wellbeing of our Residents and Staff is our priority, and we appreciate your assistance with this.

We know that this is a worrying time and we are doing everything we can to support the Residents and Staff, and to continue to keep Residents, Families and Staff informed of any updates.

Yours sincerely

Katie Cooley
