25 March, 2022

RE: Fred French Covid-19 Outbreak Management Update and visits to Fred French

Thank you again for your ongoing patience and understanding as we work through the current situation at Fred French. I’m pleased to advise that the restrictions in place at Fred French will be ceased as of tomorrow.

We welcome all visitors to Fred French Home and request that you complete a RAT test provided by Masonic Care Tasmania on arrival, and that you continue to wear a surgical mask and adhere to social distancing and good hand hygiene practices during your visit.

For those visiting loved ones in the Elphin and Flowers area, we ask that you wear a N95 masks and eye protection provided by Masonic Care Tasmania for the duration of your visit.

As part of the ongoing support and guidance provided from Tasmania Department of Public Health and Aged Care Operations Emergency Centre team, as a precautionary measure we will be conducting additional rounds of PCR testing for Residents in the Elphin and Flowers area on Sunday 27 March and Wednesday 30 March 2022.

The Elphin and Flowers areas will be closed to the rest of the home during this time, however with the exception of the Residents who have returned positive Covid-19 results, the Residents in these areas are encouraged to move about the area and enjoy each other’s company, and visitors are welcome.

The health and wellbeing of our Residents and Staff is our priority, and we appreciate your assistance with this.

Yours sincerely

Katie Cooley
