Fred French Covid-19 update
21 March, 2022

Dear Valued Residents, Families and Advocates

I wish to advise that two residents at Masonic Care Tasmania Fred French Home in the Elphin area have tested positive to COVID-19.

The residents and their family have been informed and are receiving support from Masonic Care Tasmania.

If you haven’t been contacted by our team, rest assured that the impacted Residents are not your loved one.

We have implemented our Outbreak Management Plan in the Elphin area and we are working closely with the Tasmania Department of Public Health.

Testing of Residents in the Elphin area and all staff will be conducted today as advised by Public Health.

Further to this, and as a precautionary measure, we are restricting visitors in the Elphin area and we will keep you up to date with information about this following the testing regime.

The health and wellbeing of our Residents and Staff is our priority, and we appreciate your assistance with this.

We know that this is a worrying time and we will do what we can to continue to keep our residents, families and staff informed of any updates.

We are committed to ensuring that families remain aware of the situation and can continue to stay in contact with their loved one.

Yours sincerely

Katie Cooley
