COVID-19 News

Important update for our valued community.
4 May, 2020

Dear valued Residents, Families and Advocates,

I want to thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding as we all work together to protect our community from COVID-19.

Masonic Care Tasmania continues to be directed by the Tasmanian Government regarding visitors to aged care facilities in Tasmania. Today, the Tasmanian Premier has directed that the current restrictions relating to residential aged care facilities will continue until midnight 11 May 2020 (inclusive).

With Mother’s Day this Sunday 10 May 2020, we are of course able to accept deliveries and gifts for your loved ones. If at all possible, we would greatly appreciate it if you could bring deliveries by this Friday 8 May 2020. This will allow us to focus the staff efforts over the weekend on connecting you and your loved ones and making the day as special as we can.

We know that not being able to spend time with your loved one on Mother’s Day will be difficult for families and our residents. I would like to reassure you that we will be doing everything we can to make this a special day for all “mothers”.

We will continue to keep you informed as things progress, and once we have received an update from the Tasmanian Government in relation to the easing of these restrictions. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me or one of our team if you have any questions.

Yours sincerely,

Jackie Howard
Chief Executive Officer
