Letter to Residents, Families & Advocates – Statement from CEO (Freemasons Home)
8 January, 2022

Dear Valued Residents, Families and Advocates,

Statement from Masonic Care Tasmania CEO Jackie Howard

I wish to advise that a resident at Masonic Care Tasmania Freemasons Home in Lindisfarne has tested positive to COVID-19.

The resident and their family have been informed and are receiving support from Masonic Care Tasmania.

If you haven’t been contacted by our team, rest assured that the impacted Resident is not your loved one.

We are committed to ensuring that families remain aware of the situation and can continue to stay in contact with their loved one. Further information will be shared in relation to this.

We have implemented our Outbreak Management Plans and are working closely with the Tasmania Department of Health.

As a precautionary measure, we have been advised by Public Health not to accept any visitors to Freemasons until further notice.

The health and wellbeing of our Residents and Staff is our priority, and we appreciate your assistance with this.

We know that this is a worrying time and we will do what we can to continue to keep our residents, families and staff informed of any updates.

Yours sincerely

Jackie Howard
