22 October, 2021

Dear valued Residents, Families and Advocates,

Re: Southern Tasmania Restrictions Lifted

I want to thank you all once again for your patience and understanding as we continue to work together to protect our community from COVID-19.

Thankfully this afternoon the Tasmanian Government announced the remaining restrictions for Southern Tasmania will be lifted from today, 22 October 2021.

Face Masks
The requirement to wear masks in southern Tasmania has now been lifted as at 2:30pm.

Visitors to Freemasons Home Lindisfarne
All visitor restrictions will cease from 6pm tonight.

Protecting our Residents and our workforce
I would like to take this opportunity to confirm for you that all MCT workers are sufficiently vaccinated as per the Tasmanian Public Health Direction Under Section 16 – Mandatory Vaccination Certain Workers.

We had an overwhelming positive result from the MCT team in response to this requirement, and I commend all of the MCT team members for their commitment to the safety of our Residents and Clients, and one another.

We continue to encourage you to get vaccinated, adhere to social distancing, good hand hygiene at all times and please, stay at home if you feel unwell.

Please be assured that we are here to support you and your loved ones. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the team at Freemasons directly.

Yours sincerely,
Jackie Howard
Chief Executive Officer
