MCT COVID-19 Update Zoom meeting #3
8 December, 2020

Dear valued Resident’s Families and Advocates,

Thank you to those families who attended our third Zoom meeting on 7 December 2020. It was wonderful to be able to hold another question and answer forum to close out the year.

During this meeting we discussed the re-opening of all state borders as well as our COVID-19 preparations and plans in the event of an outbreak.

The feedback we received overall was terrific. Families appreciated the Zoom meeting and the ongoing open communication between MCT and Resident Families and Advocates. It was agreed that we will continue these Zoom meetings on a quarterly basis starting in February 2021. The topics for discussion will not only include any COVID-19 updates and general MCT news but we will introduce other team members to come along and talk about the services we are offering to your loved ones.

I would like to remind families that we continue to work to the current Tasmanian Direction No. 10 and the restrictions that remain in place. We have all seen some complacency creep in across our community, we continue to encourage you to adhere to social distancing and good hand hygiene when visiting your loved ones and out and about over the Christmas and New Year period.

Don’t forget our Christmas celebrations continue throughout December. We are offering delicious and intimate high teas for Residents and their families as well as Christmas Day lunch with a nominated family member. Of course you are also able to take your loved one out for the day or overnight. Please contact your Facility Manager to organise your booking for high tea or Christmas lunch or if you would like to take your loved one out for Christmas Day.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all MCT Families and Advocates a truly wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2021.

Yours sincerely,

Jackie Howard
