Update on COVID-19 outbreak (Peace Haven)
1 June, 2022
Dear Valued Residents, Families and Advocates
RE: Peace Haven Covid-19 update
Following yesterday’s PCR testing, I wish to advise that one new Resident in the Dapple area has tested positive to COVID-19.
The Resident and their family have been informed and are receiving support from Masonic Care Tasmania. If our team has not contacted you, rest assured that the impacted Resident is not your loved one.
Residents in the Dapple and Wellington areas who have returned negative test results, but are identified as close contacts are encouraged to continue having meals in the dining room within their area if they choose to, and access to the common areas and courtyard within these areas is permitted.
Residents who are close contacts can leave the facility providing they have no symptoms, wear a fitted facemask while they are out and return a negative RAT prior to leaving the home.
As a precautionary measure, the Dapple area and Wellington area will be restricted to Resident’s nominated visitor. Each Resident’s nominated visitor will be required to undertake a RAT on arrival and to wear a N95 mask and eye protection during their visit.
A second round of PCR testing is scheduled for Residents in Dapple and Wellington areas for Friday 3 June 2022.
All Residents in the other areas of Peace Haven are not currently impacted by the outbreak and there are no restrictions for outings or visitors.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind all visitors that they are required to wear a facemask during their visit and that hand hygiene is to be adhered to.
If you are a nominated visitor and you feel unwell in anyway, please do not attend Peace Haven.
The health and wellbeing of our Residents and Staff is our priority, and we appreciate your assistance with this.
To assist with any queries or to make a time to connect with your loved one, please contact Peace Haven Home on 6345 7200.
