Update on Rapid Antigen Testing for all Staff, Visitors and Contractors
8 April, 2022

Dear Valued Residents, Families and Advocates

Update on Rapid Antigen Testing for all Staff, Visitors and Contractors

I write further to my letter of 24 March 2022, in which we advised that we would be implementing daily Rapid Antigen Testing for all staff, visitors and contractors. In this advice I indicated we would be reviewing this requirement on 4 April 2022.

Following this review, and considering the ongoing level of transmission in the Tasmanian Community, and recognising there are a number of outbreaks being experienced in Facilities across Tasmania, we have determined that we will continue with the requirement for daily Rapid Antigen Testing of all staff, visitors and contractors to our sites for the foreseeable future.

Masonic Care Tasmania will continue provide testing kits for all visitors and contractors to complete and staff will be available to assist you with this.

In addition to this, all staff and contractors will continue to wear N95 masks and eye protection and we require all visitors to wear, at a minimum, a surgical mask, as we know mask wearing is one of our best defences in minimising transmission of COVID-19.

We thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we continue to navigate the rapidly changing environment.

Yours sincerely

Jackie Howard
