Letter to Resident's Families & Advocates - Welcome 2021!
14 January, 2021

Dear valued Resident’s Families and Advocates,

RE: Welcome 2021!

As we begin 2021, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Resident Families and Advocates a wonderfully happy and healthy new year, and after some time to reflect and recharge from 2020, I am excited to greet the new year with hope and optimism.

I thought it would be helpful to remind everyone that we continue to be directed by the Tasmanian Government Direction No. 10 and that we are monitoring the changing border restrictions into Tasmania daily. For more information regarding the latest low, medium and high risk areas, please visit: https://coronavirus.tas.gov.au/travellers-and-visitors/coming-to-tasmania when planning your visit with us.

To ensure that we continue to keep our Residents, Clients and Staff safe, we ask you to please remain vigilant with your hand hygiene, social distancing and please do not visit our facility if you feel unwell or have any flu-like symptoms.

To kick-start the year, I am pleased to announce that we are currently planning our next Zoom meeting ‘Conversations with MCT’ on 10 February 2021, 6.00pm – 7.00pm – the first in our series of 4 online meetings that will be held throughout the year. The topics for discussion will not only include any COVID-19 updates and general MCT news but through the year we will introduce other team members to come along and talk about the services we are offering to your loved ones. There will also be opportunity for you to participate in another question and answer session.

I would really like to encourage you to join us for meetings where you will have an opportunity to talk to us and ask questions in a safe space, put some faces to our names and let us know if you think there are areas that we can make improvements.

Once again, I look forward to welcoming a positive and promising 2021 together with you and the MCT Team.

Yours sincerely,

Jackie Howard
